7-storey building leans in Dhaka

Dhaka: The inhabitants of a seven-storey building at Lichubagan in Jatrabari area, Dhaka were evacuated as it leaned on Friday morning.
Mostafa Mohsin, a senior station officer at Jatrabari Fire Service and Civil Defence, said it came to their notice at about 11:10am that the building has leaned over to the north side.
Then, he said, the firefighters urged the residents to leave the building. However no one was injured.
On 25 April, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake had devastated Nepal, claiming more than 6,200 lives. The tremors also hit Bangladesh causing the walls a number of buildings in the country to develop cracks.
