JSC, JDC exams being held in smooth environment: Minister
Dhaka: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Tuesday said the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations are being held in smooth environment this year.
The minister came up with the remarks after visited the JSC examination centre at Dhanmondi Government Boys’ High School in the morning.
Nahid also noted that the government has taken steps to prevent question paper leak in the examinations.
The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and the Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations began across the country on Tuesday.
The three-hour examination started around 10:00am.
This year, a total of 2,412,775 examinees—11,24, 373 males and 12,88,402 females—are sitting in the JSC and JDC examinations.
The number of female students has marked a rise by 1,64,029 this time compared to the previous year.
The examinations will continue till 17 November and the results will be published within December 30.
Students from 28,761 educational institutions are sitting for the examinations from 2,734 centres across the country.
1,03,653 irregular students are taking part in the JSC examination while 18,021 in JDC and the number of special students in JSC is 91,861 while in JDC it is 14,698.
Besides, 681 examinees are sitting in the examinations from eight overseas countries.
