Manikganj: Police arrested a young man for desecrating the idols in a Hindu temple at Paikpara village in Saturia upazila on Wednesday morning.

The arrestee is Ridoy, 18, hailing from Comilla.

Saturia Police Station Officer-in-charge Habibullah Sarkar said Ridoy entered the temple in the morning and vandalised two idols.

However, locals caught him while he was fleeing the scene and handed him over to police, the OC added.
