An Awami League team will visit the Santal locality in Sundarganj of Gaibandha district today (Saturday) where three indigenous men were killed and houses of hundreds of indigenous families burnt down over a land dispute.

During the visit, the AL delegation will exchange views with Santal leaders and discuss necessary measures to improve the situation, said an AL release, reports UNB.

The AL team members are AL organising secretaries BM Mozammel Haque, MP, and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, its finance and planning secretary Tipu Munshi, MP, relief and social welfare secretary Sujit Ray Nandi and the party’s executive member Remond Areng.
