Gaibandha district unit BNP general secretary Mohammad Gausul Ajam Dollar, who was arrested and jailed by a mobile court for planning to carry out subversive activities, died at a local hospital on Saturday morning.

He was 48.

Gaibandha Jail superintendent Md Mahabubur Rahman said Gausul suffered a heart attack in the morning, reports UNB.

Later, he was taken to Gaibandha Adhunik Hospital where he died at about 8:30am.

Gausul was arrested in a sabotage case, added the jail super.
