Sylhet: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.6 in the Richter scale was felt in Sylhet and Habiganj, northeastern region of Bangladesh, on Tuesday morning.

The Sylhet Metrological Office said a mild tremor jolted Sylhet and Habiganj area at about 8:11am and the earthquake lasted for a few seconds.

However, there was no immediate report of damage or casualty.
