Sylhet: Customs officials seized 80 gold bars weighing around 9.3 kilogram at Osmani International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

The gold bars were recovered from an aircraft of Bangladesh Biman, which reached Dhaka from United Arab Emirates in the morning.

The Osmani International Airport customs Assistant Commissioner Sajjad Hossain said the gold bars were left in the aircraft in a bag.

Pilot of Bangladesh Biman found the bag and called the customs department officials.

The customs officials said price of the recovered gold bars has been estimated at Tk 4crore.

A press conference will be held in this connection at about 10:00am.
