97.6 percent vote in one centre
Less than 15 percent votes were cast in twenty centres during Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls. In four centres, it is less than ten percent.
The scenario is totally different in some centres where more than eighty percent votes were cast. 97.6 percent votes were cast in Uttara High School and College No. 6 centre (for male).
BNP-backed candidate Tabith Awal got only one vote in one centre. In the same centre, Awami League-backed candidate Annisul Haque bagged 306 votes.
Besides, the number of null votes is more than the total number of votes bagged by twelve mayor candidates (except the top four).
This scenario came up while scrutinizing the results of 1093 voting centres of DNCC. According to Election Comission, 8,74,581 votes were counted as valid. Among them Annisul got 4,60,117 votes and Tabith got 3,25,080 votes.
