PM in Sylhet, visits shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal, Hazrat Shah Paran

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday offered ziarat (prayer) at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) in Sylhet.
A VVIP flight of Bangladesh Biman carrying the Prime Minister landed at Osmani International Airport at 11:00am on a daylong visit to join the flag-raising ceremony of the newly-established 11 Infantry Brigade under 17 Infantry Division of the Bangladesh Army.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, AL Advisory Council Member and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry Suranjit Sengupta, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, PM's Security Adviser Maj Gen (retd) Tariq Ahmed Siddiq, AL Presidium Member Muhammad Faruk Khan, joint general secretaries Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif and Dr Dipu Moni, organising secretaries AFM Bahauddin Nasim , Ahmed Hossain, Misbahuddin Siraj and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Sheikh Helal Uddin, MP, Subid Ali Bhuiyan, MP, Mahbubur Rahman, MP, former mayor of Sylhet city Badaruddin Ahmed Qamran, PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim, ex-ambassador AK Abdul Momen and leaders of Sylhet district and city units of AL were, among others, present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Prime Minister was received by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, AL Organising Secretary Misbahuddin Siraj and leaders of Sylhet district and city units of AL.
Hasina will later attend the flag-raising ceremony at Jalalabad Cantonment.
