Goalondo: Ferry Services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the River Padma was disrupted following dense fog early on Tuesday.

Shafikul Islam, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation’s (BIWTC’s) in Daulatdia Ghat office, said the authorities has suspended ferry services on the route for three hours from 4:30am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Three ferries lied motionless in the middle of the river while four stuck at Paturia and nine at Daulatdia.

Passengers suffered most as around 350 vehicles had to be kept waiting on both sides of the river.
