Mystery over Salahuddin to be debunked soon: Quader

Comilla: Describing Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Salahuddin Ahmed’s appearance as mysterious and questionable, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said the mystery over it would be unveiled soon.
‘People came to know about the disappearance and trace of Salahuddin through his wife. Through them we came to know that he is now in India. As a result, the matter is still shrouded in mystery,’ he said.
The minister said this while talking to reporters after visiting the construction work on Paduar Bazar overpass.
‘Meghalaya police said they’ve arrested Salahuddin. Now the question is how he had been there? It’s sure he hasn’t gone there legally. How he’s gone to Meghalay and a mental hospital there? These questions have created a mystery,’ the minister added.
BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, also a former minister who remained missing for over two months was traced at a mental hospital in the Meghalaaya state of India on Tuesday.
About the four-lane road on Dhaka-Chittagong highway, Obaidul Quader said the work is nearing completion. Construction of 11 bypasses, out of 14, has already been completed, he said.
