Three of a family shot in Dhaka
Three members of a family were shot by their rival over a land related dispute at Delna in Dhaka’s Khilkhet area on Saturday morning.
The injured are Sodhu Miah, around 50, his son Abdul Halim, believed to be 30, and his cousin Fatema Begum, 45, all residents of the area.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp in-charge Sub-inspector Bachchu Miah said one Hamidur Rahman, a resident of Baura village, laid down a dredger pipeline through Sadu’s land on Friday night, reports UNB.
As Sadu along with his family members and some local people protested the matter at about 6:30am on Saturday, Hamidur Rahman fired at them with his shotgun, leaving the trio injured.
The injured were taken to DMCH.
