Manikganj: Ferry Services on Paturia‐Daulatdia route in the River Padma was disrupted following dense fog on Thursday morning.

Zillur Rahman, assistant general manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation’s (BIWTC’s) Aricha terminal office, said the authorities has suspended ferry services on the route from 6:30am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Three ferries stayed motionless in the middle of the river.

Passengers suffered most as around 200 vehicles had to be kept waiting on both sides of the river.
