Manikganj: Ferry services on Paturia‐Daulatdia route resumed on Sunday morning, three hours after the services were postponed due to dense fog.

Jillur Rahman, Assistant Manager (Commerce) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation’s Aricha station, said the ferry services resumed at about 8:30am as the thick fog disappeared.

Earlier, the ferry services on this important route were suspended as the area was enveloped in thick fog, forcing the BIWTC to postpone ferry services at about 5:30am.

The obstacle forced five ferries, with more than 100 vehicles on board, to anchor in the mid‐river while nine more ferries were waiting on Paturia and Daulatdia terminals.
