Natore: A man was killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Airmari Bridge area of Baraigram upazila, Natore, on Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Mohammad Ali, in his thirties, a resident of Natore.

Three people, including former national football team player Tanvir Chowdhury, were also injured during the accident.

The Baraigram police said the accident took place when a Dhaka-bound bus from Rajshahi collided head-on with a truck at about 7:15am, leaving Mohammad Ali dead on the spot and three others injured.

Tanvir Chowdhury was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital while two others to a local hospital.

The body was sent to Highway police station at Banpara.
