Satkhira: A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader was found dead in a fish enclosure in Amtola Beel area of Dhulihar union in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Hasibul Hasan Emon, in his twenties, at Sultanpur village of the district town and joint secretary of Satkhira district unit BCL.

Local people spotted Emon’s body in the area at about 10:00am and called police, said Firoz Hossain Mollah, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Police also arrested the deceased’s two associates Murad and Biplob for interrogation in this connection.

The OC also added that Emon might have been strangulated to death.
