Nirob, Tuku new Jubo Dal president, secretary
Dhaka: After a hiatus of five years, a partial committee of Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal has been formed making Saiful Alam Nirob its president and Sultan Salahuddin Tuku general secretary.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir approved the committee on Monday, said a party press release issued from its chairperson’s office early Tuesday.
Mortazul Karim Badru has been made senior vice-president while Nurul Islam Nayan joint general secretary and Mamun Hasan organising secretary of the new committee of the BNP’s youth wing.
The five-member partial committee has been asked to form a full-fledged committee of the organisation in a month.
Nirob was Jubo Dal general secretary in its previous committee while Tuku was the assistant student affairs secretary in BNP’s previous central executive committee.
Jubo Dal’s previous committee was formed on March 1, 2010 appointing Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal its president and Nirob general secretary. Alal quit the post after he was appointed a BNP joint secretary general in its current committee.
Besides its central committee, the partial committees of Jubo Dal Dhaka south and Dhaka north units have also been formed.
SM Jahangir Hossain has been made Dhaka north unit president while Shafiqul Islam Milton general secretary, Mostafa Kamal Riyadh senior vice president, Sharfuddin Jewel joint general secretary and Mostafa Zoglul Pasha organising secretary.
Rafiqul Alam Maznu has been appointed Dhaka south unit Jubo Dal president while Golam Mawla Shahin general secretary, Sharif Hossain senior vice president, Sayed Hasan Mintoo, RT Mamun, and Anandha Shah joint general secretaries and Jamal Uddin Khan Shahin organising Secretary.
