Police recovered a Prado jeep from the Shitalakkya River in Kapasia upazila of Gazipur on Thursday.

Police said local fishermen spotted the luxurious vehicle while throwing tree branches in a fish enclosure in the river at Dasyunarayanpur in the afternoon and informed police.

Later, police with the help of locals fished out the expensive jeep with number plate Dhaka Metro Gha-11-2029 from the river, said Kapasia Police Station officer-in-charge M Abu Bakar Siddique, reports UNB.

He also said they will send the number to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority to ascertain the ownership of the vehicle.
