BSF picks up Bangladeshi farmer at Meherpur border

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly picked up a Bangladeshi farmer from Sonapur Majhpara village in Mujibnagar upazila of Meherpur on early Saturday.
The victim was Rupchand Sheikh, believed to be 30, a resident of the village.
Lt Col Amir Majid, commanding officer of Chuadanga Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), said BSF troops of Jinda camp in Chanpra thana of Nadia district caught Rupchand as he went to work at a field near pillar no. 106/4 along the border at about 4:00am.
BGB has sent a letter to BSF to arrange a flag meeting in this connection.
