Lawsuit filed against AL lawmaker over crime against humanity

Mymensingh: A case has been filed against Mymensingh-6 constituency Awami League Lawmaker Moslem Uddin for his alleged involvement in the crime against humanity during the War of Liberation in 1971.

A freedom fighter, named Jalal Uddin, of Phulbaria filed the case with a local court at Mymensingh accusing 16 people and 25 unidentified people at about 11:15am on Monday.

The court’s judicial magistrate sent Moslem Uddin and other accused to International Crimes Tribunal after considering the case.

Other accused of the case are Faizul Bari, Samad Mastar, Abdul Mondol, Mofiz Uddin, Riaz Uddin, Muksed Ali, Ebadullah, Muksed Ali, Wahed Ali Munshi, Sohrab Ali, Abul Hossain, Musa, Abdul Halim, Kuddus, and Giazuddin.

The case was filed on charges of killing a woman after raping her, and killing of 25 men during the War of Liberation.
