Gopalganj: Miscreants killed a woman by slitting her throat at Borashur village in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj on Monday night.

The deceased is Ratna Begum, in his twenties, wife of Mafikur Sheikh, a resident of the same village.

Officer‐in‐charge of Kashiani Police Station K M Ali Nur Hossain said Mafikur discovered his wife’s throat‐slit body lying in a room of their house at about 9:00pm and called police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A case was filed in this connection.
