BCL to hold rally only on Friday, Saturday

Dhaka: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), associate student organisation of Bangladesh Awami League, will not bring out any procession and hold any rally except on Friday and Saturday considering the sufferings of Dhaka city dwellers.
BCL General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain today declared the decision while speaking at the reunion of the student organisation in presence of the AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and other senior party leaders at Suhrawardy Udyan this afternoon.
Earlier speaking at the reunion, the AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, urged the BCL leaders and workers not to bring out any procession and hold rally on the working days.
Quader said, "Our leader Sheikh Hasina earlier asked us not to hold any rally blocking roads or streets as we do politics in the welfare of mass people."
The AL general secretary also sought apology to the people for their sufferings due to today's programme of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
