Gaibandha: A Gaibandha court on Tuesday sent Ranju Miah, a suspected accused in the case of arson attack on a girls’ school at Kunderpara in Sadar upazila of Gaibandha, on a three-day police custody for questioning.

Additional chief judicial magistrate of Gaibandha court Moinul Hasan passed the order after police produced him before his court seeking a 7-day custody for him.

On 29 January, police arrested Ranju, in his forties, a resident of Kunderpara Pardiyara village in Sadar upazila in connection with the attack.

Miscreants set Gono Unnayan Academy High School on fire on 27 January.
