Narsingdi: Narsingdi District Council Chairman Asaduzzaman died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Narsingdi on Wednesday morning. He was 70.

Asaduzzaman fell sick due to chest pain at about 5:00am, said family members.

Later, he was taken to Narsingdi District Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

He left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

His namaz‐e‐janaza will be held at Narsingdi Mosleh Uddin Bhuiyan stadium after Asr prayers in the afternoon.

Later, he will be buried at his family graveyard, family sources added.

Asaduzzaman, also the former president of Narsingdi district unit of Awami League, was elected chairman in the recently held District Council election.
