Jessore: Police recovered one rocket, one hand grenade and 279 bullets from Sutihata Kamalpur in Sadar upazila of Jessore on Wednesday morning.

On information, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of one Shamsul Haque in the area and recovered one hand grenade, one rocket launcher and 279 bullets in an abandoned condition at about 11:00am, said Sheikh Ilias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Police.

The seized arms and ammunition might have been kept during the Liberation War, added the OC.
