Narsingdi: Two persons including a woman were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Amtola area under Shibpur upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Police said the accident took place when a Shibpur bound Passenger bus from Narsingdi collided head on with a CNG run Auto-rickshaw at about 11:30 am at Amtola under Shibpur upazila which killed two persons including a female on the spot and three others were injured.

One of the deceased is Rahima Begum of Monohardi upazila and another dead could not be identified immediately.

The injured persons Alam, Shifiqul, and Shaidullah were admitted to Narsingdi zila hospital.

Later they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition.
