Dhaka: Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested six people, including the owner of a travel agency, on charges of human trafficking from DIT road of Malibagh in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Sources at the Rab headquarters said, acting on a tip-off, a Rab-3 team conducted a drive at a house of DIT road in the afternoon and arrested Ahmedur Rahman, owner of ‘Mahbub Travels and Tours’ and its five employees-Rashida Akhtar, Palash Mandal, SM Shahiduzzaman, Md Nobel and Md Bakul.

The elite force raided the house following information that the arrested people with the help of others have been sending female workers abroad illegally for a long time.
