Menon urges all to stay alert against fundamentalism
Dhaka: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon on Friday said all should stay alert against fundamentalism and imperialism and fight against it.
‘In Asia we have common experience of facing imperialism and fundamentalism,’ he said seeking regional cooperation to resolve the issue.
The minister was speaking at an international seminar on combating Fundamentalism and Imperialism in South Asia organised by Bangladesh Workers’ Party marking comrade Amal Sen’s birth centenary, said a press release.
Among others comrade Sitaram Yechury, Indian communist party general secretary, Comrade Sudakar Reddy, Communist party India, Comrade Imdad Quazi, general secretary Pakistlan communist party, comrade Nalinda Jaytissa JVP Srilanka and workers party general secretary and member of the parliament Fazle Hossain Badsha addressed in the Seminar.
Menon, also a president of Bangladesh Workers’ Party, said sharing experience through this type of seminar would help to draw up the strategy of own country as well as fight for the common thought.
