Rajshahi: A man was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Budhpara area under Motihar police station in Rajshahi metropolitan city in the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased is Kawsar Hossain, in his forties, a resident of Chapainawabganj.

The gunfight took place at about 3:00am.

RAB through a text message said Kawsar was wanted in four cases including murder, robbery.

RAB officials also recovered four bullets, a foreign pistol, a magazine, a machete and a dagger from the spot.
