Netrakona: The Detective Branch (DB) of police held a man allegedly impersonating police member from Kurpara area of Netrakona city on Monday evening.

The detainee is Mohammad Ali Hossain, in his twenties.

DB members held Ali Hossain in front of district’s Judge Court building at about 7:30pm.

The Netrakona DB Sub-inspector (SI) Shariful Haque said Ali Hossain is a member of a fraud syndicate. He takes money from villagers, who visit the court, disguising as a police member.

SI said police also seized fake police ID card, a mobile phone, two Banglalink SIM cards, diary of community policing, and Xerox copies of several case documents.
