Khaleda inaugurates photo exhibition on Zia
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday inaugurated a photography exhibition on the life and works of former president Ziaur Rahman, also the founder of BNP.
Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal organised the event at the auditorium of the National Press Club marking the 34th anniversary of death of the leader.
Chhatra Dal president Rajib Ahsan, general secretary Akramul Hasan and other leaders and activists of the students’ body of BNP were present.
Earlier, at about 11:30am, she distributed food among the poor and destitute in front of the Gulshan DCC market in Dhaka. Later, she distributed food in Mohakhali and Shaheenbagh area.
BNP vice-chairman Selima Rahman, Dhaka city unit member secretary Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel and other leaders and activists of the party accompanied her during food distribution.
Meanwhile, BNP leaders alleged that police destroyed a stage set up for distributing food in front of Gulshan DCC market.
