EC to take all-out measures to arrange fair elections: CEC
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda on Tuesday said his commission will take all-out measures to arrange free and fair elections.
‘Whatever the previous elections were, this commission will take all out steps to make the elections free and fair,’ the CEC said while talking to reporters after attending a meeting at the conference room of Barisal Deputy Commissioner’s office, reports UNB.
The prime goal of the current commission is to arrange inclusive elections in a free and fair manner, he said.
When asked about the use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the upcoming elections, Huda said the EVM will be introduced after much experiments.
Earlier in the day, the CEC sat in a meeting with the local administration to discuss the law and order situation ahead of Banaripara and Gournadi Upazila Council Elections.
