Islamic University engineer dismissed over graft charge

Islamic University (IU) authorities on Monday dismissed a university engineer for his involvement in corruption and irregularities.
The action was taken against Toimur Reza Tuhin, a deputy engineer of the IU telephone section.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif told UNB that university Vice-chancellor Prof M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari took the action against Tuhin following a probe report that found him guilty.
On November 27 last, the university authorities formed a three-member probe body, headed by IU Proctor Prof M Mahbubar Rahman, to investigate the allegations brought against the engineer.
