Feni: An Ansar member was killed as a group of suspected drug dealers attacked on a mobile court team during a raid at Badarpur border of Phulgazi upazila in Feni on Wednesday night.

The deceased is Nowhser Ali.

The Phulgazi upazila executive official (UNO) Kisinger Chakma said a team of mobile court lead by Executive Magistrate Sohel Rana went to conduct a drive to recover drugs in the Badarpur area, when members of a drug dealers syndicate attacked on them at about 10:30pm.

The executive magistrate was also injured during the attack. Later, he was taken to Feni Sadar Hospital.

The assaulters also captured Ansar member Nawsher Ali and took him to Indian border area, where he died.

Nawsher Ali’s body was kept in custody of Indian border guard Border Security Force (BSF).
