An unidentified teenage girl was killed falling into a manhole at bypass intersection in Gazipur city on Saturday morning.

Md Jakir Hossain, sub-inspector of Joydebpur Police Station, said the girl was waiting for a bus standing on the slab of the manhole around 9:15am, reports UNB.

At one stage, she slipped into the manhole as the slab was removed being hit by a Dhaka-bound ‘Balaka Service Paribahan’ bus.

Later, with the help of locals police recovered the body.
