Tangail: A young man allegedly stabbed his mother and neighbour to death at Holudia village in Madhupur upazila of Tangail on Monday morning over family feud.

The deceased are Minara Begum, in her fifties, wife of Mohammad Ali and their neighbour Akbar Ali.

Shafiqul Islam, The Madhupur Police officer‐in‐charge of Station, said Minara’s son Miraz, in his thirties, stabbed his mother with a sharp weapon at one stage of altercation around 7:00am, leaving her dead on the spot.

As neighbour Akbar tried to resist Miraz he also stabbed him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police arrested Miraz from the village.
