7 suspects held in firebomb attack

Comilla: Law enforcers arrested seven suspects who were reportedly involved in the firebomb attack at a bus in Chandina, Comilla in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police arrested the persons from different places of Chandina and Debidwar upazilas in several drives conducted on Wednesday.
Police claimed the detainees are leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami.
The arrestees are Chandina upazila Jamaat amir Mawlana Abul Bashar, Debidwar upazila Barkamta union Jamaat president Mawlana Rafiqul Islam, Mahib Ullah, a resident of Kartala village of Chandin, his brother Obayed Ullah, Faruque Hossain, a resident of Vakshar village, Razzak Hossain, a resident of Sudharam upazila in Noakhali, and Nayan, a resident of Jamirpara village of Chandina.
The Chandina police said seven among the accused mentioned in case statement were arrested in a joint drive conducted by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), police, and Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI).
Police filed a case against 14 accused and 20 unidentified persons with Chandia police for hurling firebomb in a passenger bus.
