Pabna: Police arrested a member of the banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Gopalpur area in Sadar upazila headquarters early on Tuesday.

Tipped off, a team of police raided the house of the JMB member Mostafizur Rahman Shahin, in his forties, regional JMB commander of Pabna, around 4:00am and arrested him, said Abdur Razzak, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

Khairul is a listed JMB member and a fugitive accused in a case filed for serial bomb blasts across the country on 17 August, 2005, said the OC.
