Dhaka-M’singh rail link restored after 6 hrs
Gazipur: Train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route restored after six hours of suspension following derailment of a compartment at Joydebpur Rail Station in Gazipur on Friday.
Earlier, the compartment of Mymensingh-bound Jamuna Express from Dhaka veered off the track while entering the railway station around 7:15am, halting train movement on the route, said Dadon Mia, assistant sub-inspector of Jopydebpur Railway Station.
A number of trains remained stranded following the derailment.
However, the train services resumed around 12:55pm after a relief train salvaged the compartment.
