A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her son at Sonapur village in Manda upazila of Naogaon on Friday night.

Manda Police Station Officer-in-charge Md Anisur Rahman said Ashraf Uddowla and his mother Aklima Bibi quarrelled all day long at their home over their family problems. Around 11:00am, Ashraf beat his mother, leaving her dead on the spot, reports UNB.

On information, police recovered the body and arrested Ashraf.
