Arafat Rahman Koko’s father-in-law dies

Engineer MH Hasan Raja, father-in-law of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s late youngest son Arafat Rahman Koko, died at a city hospital on Saturday. He was 73.
Raja who had long been suffering from liver diseases breathed his last at United Hospital around 12noon, said Khaleda’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan, reports UNB.
He is survived by wife, one daughter, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wisher to mourn his death.
Family sources said Raja will be buried after his daughter and Koko’s wife Sharmila Rahman and her two daughters return from London.
His body will be kept at the United Hospital’s mortuary.
Raja was admitted to the hospital on March 13 after he fell sick seriously.
On January 24, 2015, Koko died of cardiac arrest at the age of 45 at his rented house in Malaysia. His wife and two daughters have been living in London for over a year.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock at Raja’s death.
In separate condolence messages, they prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
