A local Jubo League activist was shot to death at Durgapur village in Sadar upazila on Saturday night, reports UNB.
The deceased is Babar Hossian, resident of East Dighali village in the upazila and a local activist of the ruling Awami League’s youth wing.

Local people said some unidentified miscreants called Babar out of a local bazaar over his mobile phone at about 8:30pm and took him to the house of one Ansar Ali at the Durgapur village.
The miscreants shot Babar in his head there before leaving the place, killing him on the spot.

Chandraganj Police officer-in-charge M Humayan Kabir said the killing might have occurred following a previous enmity among three local Jubo League groups.
