Sitakunda slain ‘militants’ buried as unclaimed bodies

Chittagong: The suspected militant couple and their six-year-old boy, killed during a special drive at Premtala in Sitakunda upazila, have been buried at a graveyard in Sitakunda upazila as their family members refused to receive their bodies.
Anjuman Mufidul Islam, a charitable organisation, buried the couple—Kamal Hossain and his wife Jubaida Yasmeen—and their child at a graveyard at Chaitanya Lane on Monday night, said officer-in-charge of Sitakunda Police Station Jasim Uddin on Tuesday.
On 16 March, four suspected militants, including the couple, and their minor boy were killed during the drive by joint forces on a militant hideout at Premtala.
The bodies of two other militants are still there at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue as those could be not identified yet, said the OC.
