A teacher of a primary school was hacked to death over a previous enmity at Baliari village in Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur early Thursday.

Police said a group of miscreants stormed the house of Samiran Majumdar, 40, a teacher of Baliari Govt Primary School, around 2am and chopped him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him injured, reports UNB.

He succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital around 4:00am, Nazirpur Police Station Officer-in-charge M Habibur Rahman said, adding that Samiran might have been killed over a land related dispute.
