Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday joined the qulkhawani of her late younger son Arafat Rahman Koko’s father-in-law Engineer MH Hasan Raja.

The qulkhawani was held at a community centre near the deceased’s Banani DOHS house after Magrib prayers.

Khaleda together with Koko’s wife Sharmila Rahman Sithi, his two daughters Zahia Rahman and Zafia Rahman, Tarique Rahman’s mother-in-law Syed Iqbal Mandhbanu and other relatives attended the programme, reports UNB.

Bikalpa Dhara President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Mosharraf Hossain, Mahbubur Rahman, Mirza Abbas, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan and other leaders and activists of the party and its associate bodies were also present.

A munajat was offered seeking the eternal peace of Raja’s departed soul.

Raja who had long been suffering from liver diseases died at United Hospital on March 16 at the age of 73, and buried at Banani Graveyard the following day.
