Cop injured in Sylhet raid shifted to DMCH

Sylhet: A police official, Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Jony Dey, who was injured during the bombing outside of a militant den at Shibbari area in Sylhet, was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.
Sylhet Kotwali police Officer-in-charge (OC) Sohel Ahmed said Jony was taken to DMCH from Sylhet’s MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Tuesday night.
Earlier, on 25 March, two bomb blasts left six people killed and around 40 people injured near the militant hideout at ‘Atia Mahal’ of Shibbari in Sylhet City.
Police launched a drive at the militant den in the early hours of 24 March. On 28 March, Bangladesh Army called off the ‘Operation Twilight’ at Atia Mahal 83 hours after its Para Commandos launched the raid on the militant den on 25 March morning.
