Rajshahi: A Maldivian female student was found hanging at a female dormitory of Rajshahi Islami Bank Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased was Raudha Athif, 20, a second year student of MBBS and daughter of Mohammad Atif. Maldivian girl Raudha Athif with aqua blue eyes was featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine in October 2016. 

Quoting the dormitory authorities, Shah Makhdum Police Station Officer-in-charge Zillur Rahman said Raudha used to live in room-209 on the first floor of the dormitory.

Noticing Raudha hanging from the ceiling through a window of the room, the hostel inmates informed it to the authorities.

Later, the body was recovered breaking open the door at about 12:00pm. Physicians present at the hostel pronounced her dead upon examination.

Police recovered the body and suspected that Raudha committed suicide.

Raudha boarded the dormitory on January 14 last year, said the OC.
