Khaleda en route to meet Modi
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia is on her way to Hotel Sonargaon at Dhaka’s Karwanbazar to meet visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a pre-scheduled meeting at about 4:00pm on Sunday.
Five leaders of the party are accompanying Khaleda Zia to the hotel.
BNP chairperson’s media official Shairul Kabir Khan told NTV Online, ‘Khaleda Zia left her Gulshan residence at about 3:00pm to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.’
He said BNP standing committee members Tariqul Islam, Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, chairperson’s advisor Riaz Rahman and Sabih Uddin Ahmed are also going to Hotel Sonargaon with Khaleda Zia.
The party officials said Khalea Zia and the India prime minister will discuss on recent political situation, democracy, election and other issues during the meeting.
