Raushan gets Modi’s assurances over Teesta
Dhaka: Opposition leader Rowshan Ershad on Sunday disclosed that visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given assurance of settling outstanding bilateral issues including Teesta water agreement.
‘We talked about bilateral unsettled issues. Narendra Modi assured me of settling those, including Teesta,’ Raushan told reporters after visiting Modi at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the afternoon.
Raushan said there were talks between them over the land boundary agreement, and Raushan thanked Modi for signing the agreement.
Raushan, flanked by ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader MP, Kazi Firoz Rashid MP, Tazul Islam Chowdhury MP, also said the Indian PM told her the two sides can sort out all their issues, if they just sit and talk to each other.
Jatiya Party leaders presented Panjabi-pajamas and coat-pin embalmed with the JP insignia to Modi.
