2 bullet-hit bodies found in Jessore

Jessore: The bullet-hit bodies of two men were recovered over a road near Nimtola Bazar area at Chaugachha upazila in Jessore in the early hours of Wednesday.

Earlier, police said two young men were killed during firing between two groups of drug dealers in the area.

The deceased are Eksher, a resident of village of Kabilpur of the upazila, and Saidul, a resident of Modelpara.

The bodies were taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital.

The Chaugaccha police Sub-inspector (SI) Anil Mukherjee said team of police went to Nimtola area early on Wednesday after being informed that two groups of drug dealers were involved in firing at the area. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, the drug dealers fled from the spot.

Later, police rescued two bodies of young men and sent them to hospital. Police also recovered a one-shooter gun, a cartridge, and around hundred bottles of locally-made drugs, said SI Anil.
